Best book I've read so far this year, and I'll I can think is...

I absolutely loved this book, and Solara Brooks is an amazing main character. She's a convicted felon from the future that is trying to get passages to the outer planets for work. The only thing is she has to become an indentured servant for someone to pay for her passage. But because she has tattoos proclaiming to the world that she is a felon no one will take her.
Her arch enemy ends up taking her on and does everything he can to make her annoyed on the way there. Making her do jobs that are pointless just because. As they get farther on their journey things get tense, and both he and Solara get into heaps of trouble. You'll just have to read the book to find out the rest.
Melissa Lander's brings you a story of finding who you are when you least expect it, and it will draw you in. Solara and Doran are interesting main characters that will make you want to know more. With all of their bickering and the cute moments, they have made their budding relationship towards the end even more endearing.
If you read it, you will soar across space with Solara and Doran as they embark on the adventure of their lives.

Also, make sure you give yourself some time to read this book because it'll draw you in, and you won't want to stop reading.

I'm currently reading the second book of famous in love. I'm not sure how I am liking it so far, but I am reading it to finish the series because I feel like I never finish series.
Honestly, Paige gets on my nerves at some points in this book as well as in Famous in Love. But I'm going to stay strong and finish this book. Stay tuned for my review on Starflight and this book. Starflight's review should be on the blog tomorrow.
I just won these four books on Goodreads...

I love looking at people's art especially fan art. I don't really like Frozen, but we are playing it in band right now. So in honor of that here is some frozen fan art.

I don't know what it is about this book, but I am looking forward to its release next month. It sounds like it is going to be another great addition to ya fantasy and a great book in general. I can't wait to read it to see if it actually what I think it is going to be.
Here is the description from Goodreads...
The daughter of a prominent samurai, Mariko has long known her place—she may be an accomplished alchemist, whose cunning rivals that of her brother Kenshin, but because she is not a boy, her future has always been out of her hands. At just seventeen years old, Mariko is promised to Minamoto Raiden, the son of the emperor's favorite consort—a political marriage that will elevate her family's standing. But en route to the imperial city of Inako, Mariko narrowly escapes a bloody ambush by a dangerous gang of bandits known as the Black Clan, who she learns has been hired to kill her before she reaches the palace.
Dressed as a peasant boy, Mariko sets out to infiltrate the ranks of the Black Clan, determined to track down the person responsible for the target on her back. But she's quickly captured and taken to the Black Clan’s secret hideout, where she meets their leader, the rebel ronin Takeda Ranmaru, and his second-in-command, his best friend Okami. Still believing her to be a boy, Ranmaru and Okami eventually warm to Mariko, impressed by her intellect and ingenuity. As Mariko gets closer to the Black Clan, she uncovers a dark history of secrets, of betrayal and murder, which will force her to question everything she's ever known

So a few years ago dozens of ya book covers had eyes on them or part of a face on them. If you read ya you know what I'm talking about...
Currently, ya book covers seem to possess minimalistic art and different fonts...

Personally, I am glad they are done with the eye trend on ya book covers. I think they are a little weird, but I'm not quite sure what I think of the book covers at the moment. I know for a fact, they are better than the face ones.
What do you guys think of the current book covers?
Totally love them... Or are they just not your style...
If you're looking for a sad story this is the book for you...
Sarah Miller's new to the one room school house in her area, and there aren't many kids her age. Tucker O'Shay just happens to be one of the only kids older than her. Sarah's lack of math skills brings them together as Tucker tutors her upon the teacher's request. But as they become friends Sarah knows it will only be for so long because Tucker is sick with something that isn't curable.
I don't usually read much historical fiction or melancholy stories, so this was obviously out of my usually reading circle. But, I absolutely loved this book... Joanne Bischof created characters that are relatable and a story that will draw you in. Tucker and Sarah's story was amazingly beautiful and yet tragic. It shows that great love will always stay with you and impacts you deeply. This book even though it is a mere 150 pages relays a story that will change you.
You will see Sarah grown and mature into a woman that knows she is soon going to loose someone dear to her heart. And along the way, Tucker matures even more as he excepts his fate, all well trying to pursue his dreams.
I highly encourage you to read this book if you like historical fiction or a heartbreaking story about young love.
I give it...
This story deserves applause for its relatable characters and heartfelt story, all within its 150 pages.

This book surprised me, it was nothing like I thought it was going to be. But at the same time, it was everything that I expected.
Shatter Me is about a girl, who has been put in isolation for 264 days because of her touch. Juliette has the power to kill someone with skin contact. All her life she has been an outcast and now she never sees anyone in their dying world. As the book goes on she meets and boy that is also put in her cell, which she later realizes is Adam, a boy she knew from her old school. As the two of them get to know each other better a relationship begins to form. But their hidden relationship faces many challenges as they encounter the world where Juliette's power is something people want.
Like half of the other ya book trilogies out there, you'll see a love triangle start to form this book, and...

Even though this book contains a love triangle forming, I still genuinely enjoyed it. The writing of this book reminds me of a journal, and yet it isn't one. This writings style brought character to they story that I haven't seen in other ya books. Tahereh Mafi writes with exemplary skill and the quality of this books shows that.
Quotes like Juliette's feelings of being isolated and not being able to touch anyone are deep...
"Sometimes I think the loneliness inside of me is going to explode through my skin and sometimes I'm not sure if crying or screaming or laughing though the hysteria will solve anything at all. Sometimes I'm so desperate to touch to be touched to feel that I'm almost certain I'm going to fall off a cliff in an alternate universe where no one will ever be able to find me."
I feel like I could quote pages and pages of this book. It felt like on almost every page there was an impactful statement about how Juliette felt or about the world around her. I highly suggest this book to anyone who loves a good love triangle starting to form or a dystopian novel set in a falling apart world.
I give it a...
Also, Adam and Juliette together are the cutest ya couple. Who knows what will happen with them in the future books, but I've heard it's not good. I can still enjoy them together though. They pretty much make me want to jump up and down...
Here's the book trailer if you're interested...
These are all the books that I currently have checked out from the library in hopes to read them within the next two weeks, which I highly doubt is going to happen. But here's the list in no particular order.
1. Cinder

2. Starflight
3. Daughter of Smoke and Bone
4. This Quiet Sky

5. Truly Madly Famously
I am also currently reading Shatter Me, and I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. The review on it should be on the blog in a day or two. Also, once all of these books are done, the Goodreads giveaway books will be next on my to read list.
Two of the books that I won came in this week. I'm not too sure about them, but they were free so that's great.
This one I'm really not quite sure what exactly it's about. I guess it's about an android girl who has feelings. It will definitely be an interesting read.
This one basically just speaks for itself and I believe it will be a great read to learn more about what has happened.
These book reviews should be up on the blog in a little while after I read the books I have out from the library right now, so stay tuned.
I've recently been rewatching Hart of Dixie with my mom. This show is fun and all around cheesy, and sometimes that's just what you need.
Basically, it's about Zoe a doctor who inherits a small family practice in Bluebell, Alabama, a small town. A small town where she has an extremely hard time fitting into because she is from New York.
The show depicts all sorts of crazy town events, showing tv's perspective on what a small town is like, and of course when they have town events they go all out.

We see Zoe try to fit in by going through belle initiation and become friends with the mayor, who just happens to be an ex-pro football player.
But I believe what really keeps the show going through season one is all of Zoe's crazy relationships.
You see her love hate relationship with Wade...
...and you see her pining after a man that is already taken.
But the best thing about this show is that you don't have to majorly think while you are watching it.
